Somatic Psychotherapy with Sabrina

What is Somatic Psychotherapy?

When taking the time to slow down, connect with, and listen to your body, what do you hear?

Somatic psychotherapy engages with the experience of the whole body in therapy to expand self-awareness of motivations, challenges, and desires. It works to create understanding through contacting the sensations of the physical body, which connect us to the feelings and emotions present. Often, there are memories here, as well as more feelings connected to those memories.

Somatic inquiry tunes into the body and mind’s interoceptive processes to cultivate a heightened focus on your needs, thoughts, and patterns. In addition with further examination of how individual developmental, inter-generational, and socio-cultural realities impact you. This helps to cultivate deeper personal and interpersonal relationships.

  • Rates

I work with a sliding scale of $100-$150 for a 50-minute therapy session. This is pro-rated for longer sessions.

Fees may be adjusted and reviewed periodically. I offer an initial free 15 minutes consultation call to give us the opportunity to see if we should work together. Additionally, I offer limited sliding scale slots.

  • Cancellation

I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within the 48-hour window of the time of our session, or you do not cancel at all, I will still charge you your regular fee for the session. If you cancel before the 48-hour window you will not be charged.

I offer one cancellation a year that renews at the start of every calendar year. This is to help accommodate things that come up.
